释义	如果当事人想了解一个人是否被羁押，应该向人犯的家属进行咨询。因为，在公安机关或者检察机关对当事人采取强制方法的，必须依法通知家属。法律依据:《中华人民共和国监狱法》第十五条人民法院对被判处死刑缓期二年执行、无期徒刑、有期徒刑的罪犯，应当将执行通知书、判决书送达羁押该罪犯的公安机关，公安机关应当自收到执行通知书、判决书之日起一个月内将该罪犯送交监狱执行刑罚。罪犯在被交付执行刑罚前，剩余刑期在三个月以下的，由看守所代为执行。
