释义	不能，即使债务人不还钱，债权人也不得直接占有抵押物。我国担保法明确规定，在订立抵押担保合同时，债权人与抵押人不得在合同中约定:如果债务人还款期限届满时无力偿还债务，抵押物归债权人所有。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第三百八十六条担保物权人在债务人不履行到期债务或者发生当事人约定的实现担保物权的情形，依法享有就担保财产优先受偿的权利，但是法律另有规定的除外。
