释义	犯罪中止的特征： 1、行为人主观上具有中止犯罪的决意； 2、行为人客观上实施了中止犯罪的行为； 3、犯罪中止必须发生在犯罪过程中，而不能发生在犯罪过程之外； 4、犯罪中止必须是有效地停止了犯罪行为或者有效地避免了危害结果。犯罪中止的处罚原则：没有造成损害的，应当免除处罚。造成损害的，应当减轻处罚。【法律依据】《刑法》第二十四条在犯罪过程中，自动放弃犯罪或者自动有效地防止犯罪结果发生的，是犯罪中止。对于中止犯，没有造成损害的，应当免除处罚；造成损害的，应当减轻处罚。
