释义	一般的犯人多数都会戴手铐。只有重刑犯和死刑犯会被戴上脚镣，有时一般的犯人指认犯罪现场时也会戴。【本文关联的相关法律依据】《中华人民共和国看守所条例实施办法》第二十条看守所使用的械具为手铐、脚镣、警绳。警绳只能在追捕人犯或者对死刑犯执行死刑的时候使用。使用手铐、脚镣的时间，除死刑犯外，一般不得超过十五天。特殊情况下需要延长使用时间的，须经主管公安局、处长批准。人犯在戴手铐、脚镣期间，看守干警应当加强教育，在危险行为清除时，应当立即解除。手铐、脚镣的制式规格和使用程序必须严格遵守规定。
