释义	根据2018年10月1日施行的《中华人民共和国民法总则》第一百八十八条，对诉讼时效的规定：向人民法院请求保护民事权利的诉讼时效期间为三年。法律另有规定的除外。比如《合同法》规定了涉外货物买卖合同和技术进出口合同的诉讼时效为4年，《民法通则》第136条第1项规定：出售质量不合格的商品未声明的，诉讼时效为1年。不难发现，合同违约的诉讼时效一般情况为三年，法律另有规定的按照规定计算。
