释义	通常情况下，民事案件的当事人可以委托律师和法院许可的其他公民代自己出庭进行诉讼。但是，有些民事案件的当事人必须到庭。必须到庭的被告，是指负有赡养、抚育、抚养义务和不到庭就无法查清案情的被告;给国家、集体或他人造成损害的未成年人的法定代理人。如其必须到庭，经两次传票传唤无正当理由拒不到庭的，也可以适用拘传。【法律依据】《民事诉讼法》第一百条，人民法院对必须到庭的被告，经两次合法传唤，无正当理由拒不到庭的，可以拘传。
