释义	法律分析：不是骗局。房东收的定金的意思就是房东确定租客打算租其房子，房东收到定金后就不能够再租给别人了。如果租客交了定金后反悔不租的话定金是不退的以补偿房子空的期间造成的损失。如果房东收了定金，又不把房子租给租客，应当双倍返还定金。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第五百八十八条当事人既约定违约金，又约定定金的，一方违约时，对方可以选择适用违约金或者定金条款。定金不足以弥补一方违约造成的损失的，对方可以请求赔偿超过定金数额的损失。
