释义	农村宅基地，是农村的农户或个人用作住宅基地而占有、利用本集体所有的土地。农村宅基地是村民进行申请，经人民政府审核，由县级人民政府批准，登记造册，确认使用权。法律依据：《中华人民共和国土地管理法》第六十二条农村村民一户只能拥有一处宅基地，农村村民建住宅，应当符合乡（镇）土地利用总体规划，并尽量使用原有的宅基地和村内空闲地。农村村民住宅用地，经乡（镇）人民政府审核，由县级人民政府批准；其中，涉及占用农用地的，依照本法第四十四条的规定办理审批手续。
