释义	法律分析: 房东在约定期间内不能拒绝将房子租给交了定金的人，或是将房子另外租给他人，这都属于违约行为，租房者在交了定金之后，无法继续租房的情况下，可以主张退还定金，并且可以要求收取定金的一方双倍返还定金。法律依据: 《中华人民共和国民法典》第一百八十九条当事人可以约定一方向对方给付定金作为债权的担保。债务人履行债务后，定金应当抵作价款或者收回。给付定金的一方不履行约定的债务的，无权要求返还定金受定金的一方不履行约定的债务的，应当双倍返还定金。
