释义	法律分析：拘留，是指扣留，拘禁。公安机关拘留人的时候，必须出示拘留证。拘留后，应当立即将被拘留人送看守所羁押，至迟不得超过二十四小时。公安机关对被拘留的人，应当在拘留后的二十四小时以内进行讯问。在发现不应当拘留的时候，必须立即释放，发给释放证明。法律依据：《中华人民共和国治安管理处罚法》第八十三条第一款对违反治安管理行为人，公安机关传唤后应当及时询问查证，询问查证的时间不得超过八小时;情况复杂，依照本法规定可能适用行政拘留处罚的，询问查证的时间不得超过二十四小时。
