释义	法律分析：异地不能办理离婚。异地起诉离婚的，可以委托律师代为办理，一方当事人不出席的话，法院会作出缺席判决。双方不在同一个城市生活协议离婚，需要双方共同到一方户籍地民政局办理。如果协商不成，可以在被告方居住满一年或一年以上的所在地进行起诉离婚。也可以提供双方居住满一年的证明，在异地办理离婚手续。但是在异地只能是起诉离婚。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第一千零七十八条婚姻登记机关查明双方确实是自愿离婚，并已经对子女抚养、财产以及债务处理等事项协商一致的，予以登记，发给离婚证。
