释义	继续犯也叫持续犯，是指作用于同一对象的一个犯罪行为从着手实行到行为终了犯罪行为与不法状态在一定时间内同时处于继续状态的犯罪。认定继续犯，对于确定追诉时效的起算点具有重要的意义。我国《刑法》第89条规定，追诉期限从犯罪之日起计算；犯罪行为有连续或继续状态的，从犯罪行为终了之日起计算。追诉时效是以犯罪行为终止起计算的，什么时候犯罪行为实施终了，追诉时效就从什么时候开始计算。所以，认定某个犯罪是否是继续犯，对计算追诉时效大有意义。
