释义	法律分析：在当初双方签订合同的时候，房东就自愿约定了租金数额，由此合同既是依法成立的就要依合同履行义务，不得擅自变更或解除合同。如果房东现在要求提高租金，可以通过协商的途径来解决。如果协商不成，房东并没有单方面提高租金的权利。如果房东执意要提高租金，此时，可以向人民法院起诉其违约，要求房东承担违约责任。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第七百二十二条承租人无正当理由未支付或者迟延支付租金的，出租人可以请求承租人在合理期限内支付；承租人逾期不支付的，出租人可以解除合同。
