释义	法律分析：法人可以做贷款担保人。我国法律规定，具有代为清偿债务能力的法人、其他组织或者公民，都可以作为担保人。但企业法人的分支机构、职能部门不能为保证人。所谓担保人，又称保证人，是指第三人和债权人约定，当债务人不履行债务时，保证人按照约定履行债务或者承担责任，这里的第三人就是担保人。法律依据《中华人民共和国民法典》第六百八十三条机关法人不得为保证人，但是经国务院批准为使用外国政府或者国际经济组织贷款进行转贷的除外。以公益为目的的非营利法人、非法人组织不得为保证人。
