释义	法律分析：违法行为发生后至被公安机关处理前的一定期限被称为追诉时效。公民违反治安管理的行为，如果在违法行为发生后的一定期限内没有被公安机关发现，公安机关对该违法行为不再处罚。法律依据：《治安管理处罚条例》第十八条 “违反治安管理行为在六个月内公安机关没有发现的，不再处罚。前款期限从违反治安管理行为发生之日起计算，违反治安管理行为有连续或者继续状态的，从行为终止之日起计算。”可见，我国对于治安案件的追诉时效从违法行为发生或终止之日起计六个月。
