释义	法律分析: 放弃监护权一般不会有什么后果，但擅自变更的，不免除被指定的监护人的责任。父母作为孩子的法定监护人，其除了在法定事由的情况丧失监护权，在其他任何情况下都不能放弃对孩子的监护权。监护权的丧失只能基于法定事由在法院的判决之下丧失。法律依据: 《中华人民共和国刑法》第二百六十一条对于年老、年幼、患病或者其他没有独立生活能力的人，负有扶养义务而拒绝扶养，情节恶劣的，处五年以下有期徒刑、拘役或者管制。
