释义	最高人民法院1988年12月8日以法交函字第11号向广东省高级人民法院作出《关于水路货物运输中索赔期问题的复函》，指出：你院粤法经行字〔1988〕第294号请示报告收悉。经研究，根据民法通则第一百四十一条及我院法发〔1988〕6号《关于贯彻执行〈中华人民共和国民法通则〉若干问题的意见》第一百七十六条，水路货物运输中的索赔期，应按国务院颁布的《水路货物运输规则》及《水路货物运输合同实施细则》的规定办理。即托运人或收货人向承运人提出索赔应在收到货运记录的次日起180日内提出。
