释义	老人去世后宅基地也仍然归村集体所有，不能作为遗产继承。公民对于宅基地只有使用权没有所有权，所以不论公民是否去世宅基地都归村集体所有。不过如果宅基地上有房屋的，继承了该房屋的继承人会因为继承房屋而可以使用该宅基地。法律依据《民法典》第一千一百二十二条，遗产是自然人死亡时遗留的个人合法财产。依照法律规定或者根据其性质不得继承的遗产，不得继承。
