员工提前辞职违约金一般多少？

不需要给违约金，员工提前一个月(试用期提起三天)书面向单位申请离职，或者与单位协商经过单位同意，或者单位有违法情形的，当事人都可以离职。单位故意刁难不让离职，是违法的，可以去劳动行政部门申诉。
【法律依据】：
《中华人民共和国劳动合同法》 第三十七条 劳动者提前三十日以书面形式通知用人单位，可解除劳动合同。劳动者在试用期内提前三日通知用人单位，可解除劳动合同。劳动者在解除劳动合同遵守法定程序是遵守解除预告期和书面形式通知用人单位。
