释义	代位继承是指在法定继承中，被继承人子女先于被继承人死亡，由被继承人的子女的晚辈直系血亲代位继承。转继承，是指继承人在被继承人死亡之后，遗产分割之前，因为某种缘故尚未实际取得遗产而死亡或被宣告死亡，其应继份额转由他的法定继承人继承。【法律依据】《继承法》第十一条规定，被继承人的子女先于被继承人死亡的，由被继承人的子女的晚辈直系血亲代位继承。代位继承人一般只能继承他的父亲或者母亲有权继承的遗产份额。
