释义	法律分析： “双规”既是一种调查措施，也是一种保护措施，避免被调查对象再犯错误，或受到不必要的干扰和影响 采取“两规”是非常严肃慎重的事情。双规是纪检监察机关采取的一项措施，只适用于违纪且需要立案查处的党员干部，也就是说，双规只能在纪检监察机关办案期限内实施。法律依据：《中华人民共和国行政监察法》第三十三条监察机关立案调查的案件，应当自立案之日起六个月内结案特殊原因需要延长办案期限的，可以适当延长，但是最长不得超过一年，并应当报上一级监察机关备案。
