释义	在我国取保候审之中的“保证”，不仅有被保释之人的“保证”，还应包括财产之担保或他人之担保；而所候之“审”，除了法院的审判外，还包括侦查机关和起诉机关之传讯审问。保释金就是取保候审所用的金钱，即保证金。法律依据：《关于取保候审若干问题的规定》第四条对犯罪嫌疑人、被告人决定取保候审的，应当责令其提出保证人或者交纳保证金。对同一犯罪嫌疑人、被告人决定取保候审的，不得同时使用保证人保证和保证金保证。《关于取保候审若干问题的规定》第五条采取保证金形式取保候审的，保证金的起点数额为一千元。
