释义	法律分析：不可以，过期身份证属于无效证件。法律依据：《中华人民共和国铁路旅客运输规程》第十一条过期身份证属于无效证件，不能直接购买火车票，但是可以使用过期身份证前往铁路公安制证窗口办理临时身份证明。另外，过期身份证也不能在自动售票机上买票或取票。如果选择在网上预订火车票，在身份已经核验过得前提下，可以直接输入身份证号码，提前预订火车票了，取票时，如已经重新办理身份证，可用新的身份证取票，如仍然未办理身份证，在取票时需办理临时身份证取票。
