释义	法律分析: 截舌。古代刑罚，顾名思义就是人割掉舌头。相传在西晋永嘉年间，有一位天竺（今印度）的和尚来到中国，他会表演断舌的把戏。表演之前先张开嘴伸出舌头让客人们看，然后用一把刀割断舌头，鲜血流淌，淋到地上，他把半截舌头放在盘子里，传示众人，大家惊叹不止。过了一会，他把舌头含在口中，梢停片刻又伸舌让人们看，那舌头长得好好的，和原来完全一样。法律依据: 《中华人民共和国刑法》第一条为了惩罚犯罪，保护人民，根据宪法，结合我国同犯罪作斗争的具体经验及实际情况，制定本法。
