释义	根据中国《民法通则》第135条规定，一般诉讼时效期间为2年，从权利人知道或者应当知道之日起算。中国《合同法》除了在第129条规定了涉外货物买卖合同和技术进出口合同的诉讼时效为4年以外，没有另外关于诉讼时效的规定。因此买卖合同的诉讼时效的规定应当按照《民法通则》的有关规定处理，即适用2年的诉讼时效。但是需要注意的是，《民法通则》第136条第1项又规定：出售质量不合格的商品未声明的，诉讼时效为1年。
