释义	法律分析：交通安全违法行为累积记分周期为12个月，满分为12分，从机动车驾驶证初次领取之日起计算。要注意的是一个记分周期内违章扣分不能超过12分。机动车驾驶人在一个记分周期内记分未达到12分，所处罚款已经缴纳的，记分予以清除;记分虽未达到12分，但尚有罚款未缴纳的，记分转入下一记分周期。法律依据：《机动车驾驶证申领和使用规定》第六十五条《机动车驾驶证》累积记分周期（记分周期）为12个月，满分为12分。
