释义	合同中止是指债务人依法行使抗辩权，拒绝债权人的履行请求，致使合同权利义务关系暂时中止。在合同中止期间，权利义务关系仍然存在。抗辩权消灭后，合同的权利义务关系恢复原状。合同的终止，即合同权利义务的终止，是指合同当事人之间权利义务关系的终止。合同的终止必须遵守法律。合同的终止只会使合同关系在未来消失，不具有追溯效力，因此不能产生恢复原状的法律后果。法律依据《中华人民共和国合同法》第九十二条合同的权利义务终止后，当事人应当遵循诚实信用原则，根据交易习惯履行通知、协助、保密等义务。
