释义	变造货币的犯罪受到其行为方式的限制，变造的数额远远小于伪造的货币的数额，而且变造货币的犯罪是在真实货币的基础上进行加工处理，行为人为此还须先行投入一部分货币才能进行变造货币的犯罪；其牟取的非法利益往往小于伪造货币的非法所得利益。而伪造货币的犯罪有的是成批、大量地生产货币，社会危害性相对变造货币要大得多。法律依据:《中华人民共和国民法通则》第九条、第十条、第三十六条、第三十七条《中华人民共和国刑法》第一百七十三条《中华人民共和国刑法》第一百七十条
