释义	法律分析：股权质押又称股权质权，是指出质人以其所拥有的股权作为质押标的物而设立的质押。关于作用：股权质权作为一种担保物权是为担保债权的实现而设立的，股权质押担保力的大小直接关系到债权的安全，与质权人的切身利益相关。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第四百二十五条为担保债务的履行，债务人或者第三人将其动产出质给债权人占有的；债务人不履行到期债务或者发生当事人约定的实现质权的情形，债权人有权就该动产优先受偿。前款规定的债务人或者第三人为出质人，债权人为质权人，交付的动产为质押财产。
