释义	我国外观设计专利权保护期限为10年。在1993年申请的外观设计中，获得专利权并且专利权保护期限达到10年的不到10%，大多数人申请专利只为获得专利权证书，从而获得职称、税收等方面的利益。因此其在获得专利权之后并没有将专利适用于工业商品生产的意识，很多专利因为专利权人的原因而丧失了专利权。法律依据：《中华人民共和国专利法》第四十二条：发明专利权的期限为二十年，实用新型专利权和外观设计专利权的期限为十年，均自申请日起计算。
