释义	非法同居一词来源于1989年11月21日公布施行的《同居案件若干意见》的规定，当时是将未办理结婚登记而以夫妻名义共同生活在一起的男女关系定位非法同居关系。但随着社会的发展，人们的观念和认识也发生了变化。我们法律并没有禁止无婚姻关系者同居的规定，法律没有规定同居关系的合法性，并不能反向推出同居关系就是非法的结论。为此，婚姻法的司法解释对这一问题进行了相应调整，将非法二字删去，只称为同居关系。所以符合结婚法定条件但是没有办理结婚登记的情侣住一起并不被法律禁止，不能称为非法同居关系。
