框架合同是什么意思

框架协议是指合同双方当事人为明确各方对交易达成初步合意，对合同主要内容予以确定而订立的合同，具体的交易细节在框架合同的基础上再细化成正式的合同。当双方往来中很多小的重复交易建立了长期合同，就需要一个特殊的合同机制来涵盖这种关系和单个交易的需求，这被称为框架协议，有时也会采用备忘录其他形式。该协议在一定时期内，会为每笔单个交易作为一个框架进行运作。
