释义	法律主观：身份证过期就不能用了，例如：购买火车票，购买飞机票，去外地上学，工作，出国等等都是需要用到身份证。过期了应当第一时间去换领新证。身份证使用日期到期后会被公安机关注销，不能继续使用。身份证有效期结束后，公安机关会将身份证信息注销，也就意味着持有者不能继续使用，这对外出购买车票、机票、投宿乃至办理金融、劳动的相关业务，都会造成不便。相应的身份验证系统在扫描身份证时，会显示无效。为不影响正常使用，居民应在有效期满之日的3个月前，到户口所在地的派出所重新申报换领新证。
