释义	法律分析：原告不能当证人。原告不是证人，也不能当证人。原告在法庭上“作证”叫“当事人陈述”是原告的主张，需要原告拿证据来证明，如物证或人证（证人）；因此，原告以外的能证明该诉讼事实的人，才叫证人。证人是指除诉讼参与人之外，了解案情、并就自己的感知向法庭陈述事实的单位或个人。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民事诉讼法》第七十二条凡是知道案件情况的单位和个人，都有义务出庭作证。有关单位的负责人应当支持证人作证。不能正确表达意思的人，不能作证。
