释义	一个星期只休息一天一般是不违法的。法律规定用人单位每个星期至少给劳动者安排一天的休息时间，因此一个星期休息一天不违法，但是每周工作时间不得超过四十四个小时，超过这个时间还是属于违法行为。法律依据：《中华人民共和国劳动法》第三十六条国家实行劳动者每日工作时间不超过八小时、平均每周工作时间不超过四十四小时的工时制度。第三十八条用人单位应当保证劳动者每周至少休息一日。第四十三条用人单位不得违反本法规定延长劳动者的工作时间。
