正在服刑是什么意思？
释义
服刑通俗说法就是社会上所说的“坐牢”。
对判处1年以下有期徒刑或者在被交付执行刑罚前，剩余刑期在1年以下的罪犯，由看守所代为执行。被判处拘役的犯罪分子，由公安机关就近执行，即有拘役所的放在拘役所执行，没有拘役所的可放在就近的监狱执行，远离监狱的，可放在看守所内执行。因此收押机关主要有监狱、拘役所和看守所三种。
法律依据：
《中华人民共和国监狱法》 第二条 被判处死刑缓期2年执行、无期徒刑、有期徒刑的罪犯，在监狱内执行刑罚。
