释义	法律分析：遗弃家庭成员指家庭成员中负有抚养、赡养、扶养义务的一方，对于年老、年幼、患病或其他没有独立生活能力，需要抚养、赡养、扶养的另一方，故意不履行其应尽的义务，任其生死，不予救助的行为。如果只是因为婚姻家庭矛盾，未给付相应抚养、赡养费的，未造成被抚养人或被赡养人生活困难、身体伤害的，不属于法律上的遗弃行为。法律依据：《中华人民共和国刑法》第二百六十一条对于年老、年幼、患病或者其他没有独立生活能力的人，负有扶养义务而拒绝扶养，情节恶劣的，处五年以下有期徒刑、拘役或者管制。
