释义	法律分析：装修公司收定金合法。交纳定金是保证合同履行的一种方式，一方交纳定金后，如果一方出现合同违约情形的，适用定金罚则，不退还定金或者双倍返还定金。定金能起到担保的作用，因此，定金具有预先支付性。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第五百八十七条债务人履行债务的，定金应当抵作价款或者收回。给付定金的一方不履行债务或者履行债务不符合约定，致使不能实现合同目的的，无权请求返还定金；收受定金的一方不履行债务或者履行债务不符合约定，致使不能实现合同目的的，应当双倍返还定金。
