释义	法律分析：报失踪不需要直系亲属。公民下落不明满两年的，利害关系人可以向人民法院申请为失踪人，并非规定必须由直系亲属或者非直系亲属申请。公民失踪24小时后可以向公安机关报案。在特殊情况下，如果失踪人员的人身存在安全危险，或者失踪人员属于未满十周岁的少年儿童，或者属于患有精神病、智障者等，均不受上述时间限制，均可以随时向公安机关报案。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第四十条自然人下落不明满二年的，利害关系人可以向人民法院申请宣告该自然人为失踪人。
