释义	离婚案件一般都要求当事人到庭。确因特殊情况不能到庭的，应向法庭提交书面意见。《民事诉讼法》第62条规定：“离婚案件有诉讼代理人的，本人除不能表达意志的以外，仍应出庭；确因特殊情况无法出庭的，必须向人民法院提交书面意见。”据此规定，一般情况下，当事人本人应当出庭参加离婚诉讼。如果其确有无法出庭的特殊情况，必须向人民法院提交书面意见，由法院根据客观情况确认其是否可以不出庭参加诉讼。
