恋爱过程中的日常开销现在也越来越大。随着恋爱期的延长，恋爱的成本也必将越来越大。如果最终没有结合，恋爱期间的花销也不是一笔小数目，因为恋爱期间的馈赠而产生的纠纷也就越来越普遍了。婚前给付不一定是婚前赠与。婚前给付一般可以分为三种情况：一是基于习俗，一方给付另一方钱款或物品作为订婚的标志，通常称为彩礼是一方赠与对方贵重物品及生产生活资料，如住房、汽车、金银首饰等，在双方缔结婚姻关系之后接受方以嫁妆的形式融人家庭财产中，用于夫妻共同生活，可以称为婚前赠与财产是相互赠送小额钱款、礼品及衣物等，属双方之间的礼尚往来。实践中，男方为结婚送女方聘金而最终没有登记结婚，聘金是否返还的争议较为常见。审判机关案例认为，男女双方在同居前，一方当事人给付聘金的行为追求的是双方的结婚，现结婚不能实现，另一方当事人应返还聘金。
【法律依据】：《中华人民共和国民法典》 第六百五十八条 赠与人在赠与财产的权利转移之前可以撤销赠与。经过公证的赠与合同或者依法不得撤销的具有救灾、扶贫、助残等公益、道德义务性质的赠与合同，不适用前款规定。第六百五十九条赠与的财产依法需要办理登记或者其他手续的，应当办理有关手续。
