释义	法律分析：原则上是没有时限的，在合同上应该注明出现什么情况合同终止，否则永久有效。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第六百九十四条一般保证的债权人在保证期间届满前对债务人提起诉讼或者申请仲裁的，从保证人拒绝承担保证责任的权利消灭之日起，开始计算保证债务的诉讼时效。连带责任保证的债权人在保证期间届满前请求保证人承担保证责任的，从债权人请求保证人承担保证责任之日起，开始计算保证债务的诉讼时效。
