释义	嫖娼属于违法行为。但是在某些特定情况下，嫖娼属于犯罪。嫖宿不满十四岁幼女的，以强奸罪论处。明知自己患有梅毒、淋病等严重性病嫖娼的，处五年以下有期徒刑、拘役或者管制，并处五千元以下罚金。法律依据：《中华人民共和国治安管理处罚法》第六十六条卖淫、嫖娼的，处十日以上十五日以下拘留，可以并处五千元以下罚款;情节较轻的，处五日以下拘留或者五百元以下罚款。在公共场所拉客招嫖的，处五日以下拘留或者五百元以下罚款。
