释义	取保候审到期后不可以继续，而应当及时解除取保候审。法律依据:《最高人民法院、最高人民检察院、公安部、国家安全部关于取保候审若干问题的规章》第二十条取保候审即将到期的，执行机关应当在期限届满十五日前书面通知决定机关，由决定机关作出解除取保候审或者变更强制举措的决定，并于期限届满前书面通知执行机关。执行机关收到决定机关的《解除取保候审决定书》或者变更强制举措的通知后，应当立即执行，并将执行情况及时通知决定机关。
