不履行赡养义务会有哪些法律后果
释义
不赡养老人会承担相应的民事和刑事责任。赡养父母是子女的法定义务，如果不履行该义务，要承担给付赡养费的民事责任;无论在什么情况下，子女都要履行对父母的赡养义务，拒不赡养老人后果严重的可能会构成遗弃罪，会有坐牢的可能性。

第一千零六十七条父母不履行抚养义务的，未成年子女或者不能独立生活的成年子女，有要求父母给付抚养费的权利。
