外国法查明是什么意思

外国法查明是指一国法院在审理涉外民商事案件时，如果依据本国的冲突规范应适用某一外国实体法，对如何证明该外国法的存在和确定其调整当事人具体权利义务的内容予以确定的过程。根据中国法律规定，法院在处理涉外民商事案件时，对于涉外民事关系应当适用的外国法律，法院应予以查明。
