当事人应当根据具体的情况决定签订借条或者欠条，两者的法律效力都相同的，所以无法进行比较。一般欠条对应的法律关系比较多，可以是欠货款、分红、投资款等各种情况，而借条对应的法律关系则是借贷关系，就是一方借钱给另一方的法律关系。《中华人民共和国民法典》第六百七十条
借款的利息不得预先在本金中扣除。利息预先在本金中扣除的，应当按照实际借款数额返还借款并计算利息。
