释义	法律分析：违法，公司没有权利扣押员工的身份证原件。国家机关或者有关单位的工作人员在履行职责或者提供服务过程中，应当当场核查居民身份证的人、证一致性，不得擅自记录居民身份证记载的公民个人信息，不得擅自复印、扫描居民身份证，不得扣留或者抵押公民的居民身份证。法律依据：《中华人民共和国劳动合同法》第九条用人单位招用劳动者，不得扣押劳动者的居民身份证和其他证件，不得要求劳动者提供担保或者以其他名义向劳动者收取财物。
