释义	承诺应当以通知的方式作出。承诺是受要约人同意接受要约的全部内容以订立合同的意思表示。承诺必须由受要约人作出，承诺的内容应当与要约的内容一致。承诺方式以通知为原则，以行为作出承诺为例外。以通知方式作出承诺即为明示承诺方式，通知方式内容明确，不易发生歧义，容易证明，是采用最多的承诺方式。以行为承诺就是一种默示的承诺方式。根据交易习惯或者要约表明，可以通过行为作出承诺。《民法典》第四百八十条规定，承诺应当以通知的方式作出;但是，根据交易习惯或者要约表明可以通过行为作出承诺的除外。
