法律并没有规定，员工不可以同时在两家公司任职，但是，同时任职有条件，就是前单位必须同意，后单位必须知晓的情况下才可以。
法律依据：
《中华人民共和国劳动合同法》 第九十一条 用人单位招用与其他用人单位尚未解除或者终止劳动合同的劳动者，给其他用人单位造成损失的，应当承担连带赔偿责任。
